ONLINE RESOURCES

Chifley Business School provides a range of online services to meet your enrolment and study needs. You can use these services to update your contact details, submit your assignment, check your results, check your unit history, re-enrol and communicate with other students.

INTERNET ACCESS

It is mandatory that students have access to both the internet and email. Students entering the program without this access will be unable to receive important information during the Study Period or submit their assessment requirements for the program.

E-COMMUNITIES

e-Communities are a major online service for students.
e-Communities is an area of the website where users may download documents, hold discussions, and read news items specific to each community content. Users need to subscribe to communities to access documents and features as the default does not provide automatic access. You will have access to a community for every unit you are enrolled in. Additionally, there is one special community called 'Student Community', which will be used to announce general issues that do not fall within the scope of a single unit.

To access e-Communities, visit the Student Community section of this website at click on the 'Online Resources' link. You will be prompted to log in to the system. The default for receipt of messages from e-Communities will be to the web, you must change your profile to receive them in your email box.

Further information on e-Communities can be found in your study guide in the same section as your assignment.

PROTOCOLS FOR THE USE OF EMAIL AND INTERNET

You must observe the following important protocols while participating in discussions on e-Communities:

  • e-Communities is to be used only for the purposes of introducing yourself and discussing content issues with the Unit Chair and other students
  • administrative issues or problems should be directed to Chifley Business School at mba@chifley.edu.au, and not posted on e-Communities
  • please do not reply to any e-Communities emails as the response goes to an unattended mailbox.

Under no circumstances should you post messages about:

  • administrative problems or complaints
  • promoting businesses, including direct selling programs
  • purchase or sale of second-hand items
  • comments which may harass, abuse, offend or discriminate against others, or defame any individual or organisation.
