PROGRAM STRUCTURE

ENROLMENT PERIODS

Chifley Business School offers units in two 18-week study periods plus exams per year in addition to a limited number of units offered in a third study period over summer, available to currently enrolled students only.

Enrolment Periods are Dec-Jan for Study Period 1 and May-June for Study Period 2. Applicants should have their enrolment form in by early December and mid May to ensure their study materials are received before the beginning of the study period.

STUDY METHOD AND MATERIALS

The APESMA MBA units are delivered exclusively through proven distance education techniques. Each student receives a comprehensive Study Guide, which contains workplace activities and case studies, so you can apply your knowledge as you learn.

Your Study Guide for each unit contains full lecture notes, readings, references to further resources, your assignment and a sample examination with answers. Your Unit Chair is responsible for setting and marking the assignments and exams, providing commentary on the topics throughout the study period and academic assistance for any questions you have during your study.

Since there is no need to attend lectures, you can fit your study around your work and family commitments and can continue studying even if you change employment or move overseas.

STUDY LOAD

As a guideline, each unit requires a minimum of six to eight hours self study per week, per 18-week study period.

INTERNET ACCESS

It is assumed participants will have both the internet and email access. Participants without this access will be unable to submit their assessment requirements, communicate with Unit Chairs or engage in discussion with other students.

TIME ALLOWED

Graduate Certificate of Management: maximum 3 years
Graduate Diploma of Management: maximum 6 years
MBA: maximum 10 years
Master of Technology: maximum 7 years
