Credit is available for previous, relevant, postgraduate study (with the exception of completed Masters degrees or PhD's). Each case is reviewed individually. In order to graduate from any of the programs, you must complete at least 50% of the course with APESMA (two units in the Certificate, four units in the Diploma and six units in the MBA).
Students who are awarded more than two credits are not eligible for the Graduate Certificate award. Students who are awarded more than four credits are only eligible for the MBA.
Prospective students seeking credit must apply during enrolment periods. Applications received outside these periods will not be assessed until the next assessment time.
Applications for credit from existing students will only be available for courses completed after the initial enrolment in the program(s).
Applications are based on documentation submitted and must include:
Applications that do not include all necessary information will not be assessed. A credit application form must accompany any credit submissions.

If you have undergone significant work based training or education, we also offer the opportunity to gain credit for this via our Employer Based Unit (Unit 302). Unit 302 is considered in the same category as a credit. Therefore in order to be eligible for the Graduate Diploma, no more than three credits may be taken out, in addition to Unit 302. No more than five units may be granted, in addition to Unit 302 for the MBA awards.
Whilst enrolled in the program you cannot be granted 302 for education or training completed prior to enrolling.
To apply students must complete the Unit 302 application form and submit all the information as outlined on the form. Click here to download the application form.
